S.T.Dupont and Philippe Tournaire : Architectural masterpieces

Ever since it was established, S.T.Dupont has been creating unique products from precious materials. Royalty, statesmen and celebrities have all flocked to S.T.Dupont since 1872 to order customised travel cases or personalised objects.
The jewellery artist Philippe Tournaire has worked for over 40 years with the same rigorous approach. His fascination with the hand-crafted jewellery and ornaments of our earliest ancestors, his open-mindedness and his incessant quest for originality are the qualities that transform each of his creations into masterpieces.

Today, these two names have come together to create architectural masterpieces

An exceptional and exclusive series in which S.T.Dupont’s art of writing is reinterpreted by Philippe Tournaire according to a common theme: the world’s greatest monuments.
Transforming the iconic Olympio fountain pen into a historic monument, crafting it like a piece of art to be put on view, looked at and used is a first for S.T.Dupont and offers a new mode of expression to Philippe Tournaire.

Three destinations, three monuments :

The Invalides of Paris, Saint Basil’s Cathedral in Moscow and China’s Sun Pagoda

These three works in bronze are engraved, polished and finished by hand.
The dome of the Invalides, those of Saint Basil’s and the roof of the Pagoda are crafted from solid 18 carat gold. The columns with their gilt patina are engraved with a floral frieze inspired by those found on 17th century Parisian buildings. They rest on a magnificent pedestal engraved with the names of S.T.Dupont and Tournaire.
On each carefully crafted replica, the details of the monument and the finishing touches are worked in rare and precious materials: pink gold for the Sun Pagoda, coloured lacquer for the domes of Saint Basil’s. Each piece is numbered in a series of 15.
This exclusive collection will enchant all those collectors in search of exotic dreams and world travel.
