Mathieu Tournaire imagined a ring he called French Kiss during a trip to Paris. It is a model that I intended only for the Chinese market at the beginning because I was sure that someone had already had this idea in France. Then it turned out that no, so we also marketed this ring.
In 2001, I found myself on the Champ de Mars in Paris, the weather was fine, the lawn seemed comfortable and I lay there. I then saw the Eiffel Tower upside down, and it seemed obvious to me that a stone could be lodged between the four feet of the Iron Lady. But I did not think it was a revolutionary idea, I imagined that many people had already realized it..
Then in 2006, when I had partnered with Fred, we were working with China to market a new collection. The Chinese people with whom we were in contact to market this new model wanted a more obvious jewel than the ones I used to imagine. They wanted an object that took up the idea of romanticism, France, Paris ... So I realized the ring I had imagined years ago, with the Eiffel Tower very obvious as an ring, Had already used for the "Paris" Architecture ring. Then I set a stone between the feet of the tower and the French Kiss was born. It is a model that I intended only for the Chinese market at the beginning because I was sure that someone had already had this idea in France. Then it turned out that no, so we also marketed this ring with us. And it was quickly one of our best-selling jewelry.
